11 houses went under contract in Catonsville, Maryland last week. I’m walking on Overbrook Road this morning. Prices ranged from 350,000 to $825,000. Six of them took less than a week and none of them sat for longer than 30 days. So, the market’s hot, right? Well, not so fast. We hit 90 active listings over the weekend, 89 this morning. 10 of those are coming soon, and 34 of them have already had their price cut. So, what does that tell you? Catonsville isn’t one market, it’s two. Houses that are priced right and show well always go fast. Houses that aren’t are sitting and the price drops prove it. The buyers are out there.
